How we grow

We are dedicated to growing healthy produce without the use of synthetic herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers.  Although we are not certified, we grow using organic and natural methods and adhere to the following principles:

* we do not purchase any chemically treated seed (which is often an industry "standared")

* we grow using organic seed

* we do not use any synthetic herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers

* we are careful about purchasing our seed from reputable and well established suppliers

* integrated pest management means scouting for pests, diversifying the crops we grow, practicing good crop rotations, and promoting beneficial insect presence

* we are low-tech which means we do most of our work by hand, using less fossil fuel

*we are dedicated to offering our produce to everyone, regardless of income (flexible payment options and Good Steward Shares) 

*we grow all of our own transplants from seed in our nursery so we know the origin of the seed and plants
