Meet the goats

Our little herd of goats is made up of two Boers; Little Sparkle and Twinkle and three Pygmies; Miss Moonshine, Miss Star and Miss Sylvie. 

We love to watch them when they have a mad ten minutes, they race around the paddock jumping and skipping their antics are very entertaining.

The goats can be quite noisy. When Twinkle first came to us she really missed her mum and cried so much she lost her voice, it was heart breaking. She soon settled in and quickly got her voice  back. 

People have asked about goat yoga and whilst we haven’t ruled it out if you saw how big the boers are and how fast they all move you would understand our reservations.

We regularly take Sparkle for a walk round the village, and we are getting Twinkle used to being on a lead too - they both proved to be a great crowd pleaser at the Tissington Summer Fete recently and raised money for the church funds.
