Meet the sheep

The sheep are very much Stephen’s domain. He spends nearly as much time with them as he does me. We have a very mixed flock, including Ryelands, Jacobs, Black Welsh Mountains, and Valais Blacknose - and again personalities are all very different.

We have a bench in the orchard so that we can sit and be with them.

They are very tame and love attention and to be hand fed. They are also happy to just have you around and go about their business, which is a very peaceful way to pass an hour.

The names of the sheep were mainly chosen by our grandchildren, and include Snow White, Hot Chocolate, Cloud, Sockie, and Pants. We have 12 sheep at the  moment, but will hopefully have lambs in the spring which will be very exciting.
